About

hello.

i’m kirsten, pronounced k-ear-sten.

i am a daughter of the King, follower of Jesus, sinner saved by grace, wife of josh for 19 years, and stay at home mama to nine kiddos-all adopted from foster care.

i am passionate about “seeing the lonely set in families” psalm 68:6! i drive a 12 passenger van, do laundry every day, probably stay up too late, occasionally drink too much coca~cola, and really want to live at the edge of a body of water some day. i long for the time  when there are no more children in foster care waiting to be adopted and no more children aging out of the system because the church has stepped in and become their family.

here, at mom to the 9, i share about foster care, adoption, marriage, parenting, infertility, and the ways Jesus is molding me and shaping me to be more like Him.

my handsome husband josh is a super talented graphic designer and marketing man. our kiddos range in age from 19 (a freshman in college!) to twins who are four. we are fumbling our way through this beautiful, messy, chaotic story the Lord has written for us. our hope is that we will faithfully follow wherever He leads us and that He will get all the glory.

“many are the plans in a man’s (kirsten’s) heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” proverbs 19:21
